Get Involved

Part of the SWF's goal is to educate and inspire; educate the general public and medical professionals about these conditions and inspire individuals to do the same. To reach this end, The SWF has created programs, manuals and support materials all with the aim of spreading the word, so that one day these conditions will be better understood.

So much to learn, so much to share

Ben and Ann Click and their daughters Lizzie and older sister Rosie live on one of the southernmost peninsulas of Maryland where Ben is a college professor.  Anne knows how to make use of almost every resource the SWF has.

Since they joined the SWF shortly after Lizzie was born in 2000, Anne has been an avid user of our brochures, posters, wristbands, newsletters, children’s booklets and website articles, not just for her own information, but to inform and educate school and community.

You can find Anne’s postings on the SWF Support Forum on Yahoo each week, spreading encouragement, asking questions, sharing little known practical tips and endowing the whole group with her generous and friendly spirit, everything from what to let your school know about, to how to help a kid learn how to ride a bike.

Speak Up

You are one of our ambassadors whenever you step up and let strangers and friends alike know about the SWF. Your very presence speaks positively about SWS/PWS and KT. Here are just two ideas:

  • FirstGiving.com - An easy way to spread awareness & raise funds on-line.
  • Youtube.com - A picture tells a thousand words. Join SWF members who have shared their story to raise awareness!
