2011 Wisconsin Family Day

whole crowd Almost 50 people gathered in Garner Park in Madison WI for a Family Day picnic on Sunday, June 5, 2011. Thanks to a great team of Margaret Berg, Michelle Brogunier, and Margie and Becky Lund, the day was full of friendship and networking.

The Day was made possible in part by the generosity of the Heritage Community Bank in Randolph, NJ. And of course by the generosity and good cooking of the SWF members who attended and brought their energy and picnic food.  Check out the photos!

All it takes to have a Family Day in your area is to have plenty of lead time (like 2 months) and plenty of energy. We would be happy to guide any interested member, or "coalition" of families to plan and carry it off.

Once we get a volunteer or team to quarterback a Family Day, we work up a list of SWF members in yur state adn sed out hte invitaitons.  Each event takes on a characterand flavor of its own, but our host families always report great success and form bonds that cn last for "a reason, a season, or a lifetime."
